Strength Ratios
Ever wonder why you are not getting stronger? While you may be going to the gym consistently what you may be missing is the angle crucial to getting that bench PR or increasing the amount of tension on a specific muscle group. While I believe in many simple things related to fitness as opposed to complex and complicated ideas this one can get tricky. Here is a ratio to train for- twice the amount of posterior volume to anterior volume.
Now what does that really mean? It means do twice the amount of work in your back than you do in your pressing movements. For most of us that is not what we are currently doing but I promise the numbers will go up easily as soon as this rule is followed.
